Dear Members of Indian Diaspora,
The Consulate General of India, Guangzhou is organizing an ‘Indian Crafts Exhibition’ at its premises as part of the ‘Bharat Week' to commemorate the 78th Independence Day of India, for the Members of Indian Diaspora. The Exhibition is unique opportunity for the Members of Indian Diaspora to submit their Indian Crafts Products and showcase their artistic talents to celebrate the rich diversity of India.
2. The Details of the Exhibition are:

Date of Inauguration: August 15, 2024

Venue: Consulate General of India, Guangzhou

Duration of the Exhibition: August 15 – August 22, 2024.

Eligibility:

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Open to Members of Indian Diaspora residing in any of the following Provinces under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of India, Guangzhou: Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region only.

Entry Limitations:

Each Participant may submit upto TWO entries only.

The Indian Craft Item can either be handmade or store-bought.

The entries should represent Indian handicrafts, handlooms, ODOP (One District One Product)craft products, or GI (Geographical Indication) products from a particular State of India of the participant’s choice.

Craft Definition: For the purpose of this Exhibition, “Craft” encompasses a wide range of handmade or traditionally produced items. This includes, but is not limited to, textiles, pottery, jewellery, metalwork, woodwork and any other artisanal products that reflect the traditional skills and cultural heritage of a particular region in India.
3. Participants who are interested to submit their Craft items are kindly requested to register at the following QR Code by 12 August 2024. Further details regarding the submission of craft articles will be shared with the registered participants by email.The registrations received 12 August shall not be considered for the exhibition..
