The Consulate General of India in Guangzhou is celebrating the 14th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas on 9 January 2017.

International Day of Yoga
The 2nd International Day of India (IDY) in Southern China was celebrated in five cities jointly organized by the Consulate General of India, Guangzhou with the local Municipality governments and other Yoga Institutes.
The Great Indian Mela on 10th January, 2016
Consulate General of India in Guangzhou alongwith Indian community and Indian restaurants in Guangzhou are organising "The Great Indian Mela – a fete of Indian customs, cuisine, & cultural programme including Bollywood dances and yoga” on January 10, 2016.
The Mela will include presentation of Indian cultural programmes, exhibition–cum-sale of Indian textile products (costumes and garments), handicraft items, live demonstration of Mehendi etc. The cultural program will include presentation of live Bollywood and contemporary music, Indian classical and contemporary dance items and demonstration of yoga on the stage from 1200 hrs onwards.
The exhibition-cum-sale of textile and designer products would include exclusive jewelry and clothes sourced from Mumbai, Delhi and other cities in India through popular designers and artists. There would also be delicious Indian cuisine stalls put up by prominent Indian restaurants in Guangzhou.
The Mela will offer authentic Indian cuisine and classical and contemporary culture.
